Elizabeth began her career at Deloitte and Touche in Boston, Massachusetts and then worked for the Former U.S. Ambassador to Austria, Swanee Hunt.  While working with Swanee, she earned her Masters of Personal Financial Planning at Bentley University and shifted careers to prepare tax returns and provide wealth management services for high-net-worth individuals at Brown and Brown in Boston. Her husband brought her back to Connecticut to work 11 years at Filomeno Wealth Management in West Hartford, Connecticut, the town where she grew up, continuing to work with tax and investment planning.

Prior to joining WP Financial, Elizabeth worked for 9 years as a Managing Advisor at Connecticut Wealth Management where she supported individuals and families in the areas of multigenerational wealth planning and tax efficient investment strategies.

Recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Crescendo Business Services (2015-2021), she holds both a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) designation, enabling her to provide clients with expertise and guidance across a variety of planning needs. She also won the Hartford Business Journal 40 Under Forty award presented by the Hartford Business Journal.

Elizabeth joined WP Financial in August 2022, as a Financial Advisor as well as serving as Director of Financial Planning - a new role dedicated to delivering a more holistic planning experience to WP Financial clients. In this role, she leads the financial planning strategy for the firm, partnering with the firm’s team of financial advisors to advance the planning process and continue to deliver exceptional results to clients.

Elizabeth has coached co-ed ice hockey with the Avon-Canton-Farmington Youth Hockey Association for 9 seasons between her 2 sons while earning her Level 4 USA Hockey coach’s certification.  In addition, she served on the board of the Hartford Estate and Business Planning Council and is an existing member.  She currently serves on the advisory council for the Boys and Girls Club of Farmington.

Through Habitat for Humanity, she has participated in multiple team and women’s builds, using a saw every chance she gets!  Elizabeth is an avid rollerblader, paddle boarder, and may get in a round or 2 of golf with her husband, Dave and their two boys. Last, but certainly not least, she gets in her steps with her rescue dog, Summer.
