WP Financial, LLC, and Habitat for Humanity North Central CT: Partners in Building Dreams!
Since 2020, WP Financial, with the support and generosity of our clients, has raised more than $300,000 in support of Habitat for Humanity. Over the span of 2024-2025, we were able to sponsor the building of a home. We are looking forward to our next build on September 8, 2026 as we continue our mission to support Habitat for Humanity North central Connecticut. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all who have supported this wonderful mission throughout these years. The value of your commitment and kindness is priceless.
Recent Volunteering!
May 7, 2026:
Spring 2026 brought our volunteer contingency of ten women to Bristol, CT, for the annual Habitat Women’s Build, where a new home was in the beginning stages of construction. Our volunteer, donning pink Habitat hard hats, participated in the early framing stages of the home, with a steady beat of hammers echoing heard across the site for the day. The energy and spirit present was at its highest level and all volunteers left with tremendous feelings of humility, pride, and satisfaction … and certainly with grateful hearts.
September 19th & 26th, 2025:
Two consecutive Fridays in September 2025 were spent working on a new home in the Burnside Hope community outside of Hartford, CT. This home was one of ten homes in this neighborhood, all built by Habitat Volunteers (homeowners being amongst the volunteer community as they put in a required number of hours to Habitat.) A total of twenty volunteers, a blend of clients and WP Staff, worked on the framing and raising of exterior walls as well as framing of some of the interior walls.
A dedication ceremony took place on November 7, 2025, where all homeowners received the keys to their new homes. What an emotional and beautiful day!
July 29, 2025:
We spent another wonderful productive day at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, in Ashford CT, cleaning and preparing the cabins for the incoming campers. We enjoyed another tour of the grounds and learned further about Paul Newman’s vision and how the camp has grown into the magical experience it is today. May 21, 2025:
Ten women joined together in East Hartford to finish painting, caulking, spackling and sanding as the volunteer work wraps up this month. It was awesome to see the change in the newly built neighborhood from our last May’s build, and our September 2024 build. We are excited to attend the dedication in November to see the homeowners take possession of the houses. We felt lucky to have folks there three times in the past year. We look forward to a new site for the Habitat Build-a-thon this fall. Stay tuned!
September 27, 2024:
This year, we spent time working in East Hartford on a new neighborhood of 10 houses. This was our biggest crew on site. We spent the day with 23 volunteers, a mix of clients and employees, framing interior walls, framing and raising exterior walls and caulking.
June 11, 2024:
We spent the day at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford CT. The camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families, free of charge. We were able to spend our time cleaning cabins, weeding and landscaping the grounds, setting up craft projects – all jobs aimed at making the camp ready for the campers!

We were represented by 11 strong women in East Hartford at Habitat for Humanity North Central’s Women Build. They had a productive day building in this amazing neighborhood in East Hartford. We look forward to heading back in September for our annual build.
